A few years ago I started thinking about what could replace search engines as a means of navigating the Internet. The only scheme tested before search engines is a recommendation system. Each site has a page with recommendations for what else to read something similar, and mutual recommendations form a discovery graph. Based on revival of blogrolls, I can say that this idea came not only to my mind.
