Linus Torvalds then commented on the Russian Linux maintainers being de-listed and made it clear that they were done due to government compliance re…

@phoronix Oh Linus ❤️
> As to sending me a revert patch - please use whatever mush you call brains. I'm Finnish. Did you think I'd be *supporting* Russian aggression? Apparently it's not just lack of real news, it's lack of history knowledge too.

@phoronix I switched from mac to #framework ca. 9 months ago. Mostly because of the upgradeable design / higher level of sustainability. What I miss the most after switching from mac is a great battery life, trackpad precision and high quality display. I will stick to framework for now, but I’m not entirely happy.

New Linux Kernel Code Works On APIC "Decrapification", Suggests Dropping x86 32-bit

There's a lovely new Linux kernel patch series out that's big in working on a major clean-up of the x86 APIC code (or "decrapification" as it's called in the patches) and also bringing up for discussion the idea of killing off x86 32-bit support. It's unlikely the x86 32-bit support will be removed right now, which is "just museum pieces", but as an alterna…
