 @realhackhistory I kinda wanna see the BBC use the "you are a python interpreter" prompt injection as an experiment  I've been writing this blog entry for weeks now it is, from all that I've seen online, the most accessible and complete account of #hackers and #hacktivism during the '98 - '99 Kosovo War. I discuss the #history, the #hacking groups and their tactics. This may have been the first true international #hacker #cyberwar. I draw on archives of hacked sites from the time, newspaper articles that I had great trouble digging up, interviews from 1999 with some of the hackers themselves and some academic papers to give a detailed account of the who, where and why of the online conflict that accompanies the Kosovo War. I'm releasing hundreds & hundreds of pages of #FBI #FOIA documents from '83 - '84 on the raids of #hacking groups the Inner Circle & PHALSE. These documents pertain to "Operation Mainframe", FBI investigation into Telenet #hackers. Inner Circle was, by my estimation, the 4th big hacking group bust ever, following the Dalton Gang, the Roscoe Gang and the 414s. I previously made a video about them which you can find below. |
