The word “Hello” is not more than 200 years old in the English language.

The word began to be used after the introduction of telephones, before that people used “good morning”, etc.

Don’t be afraid to invent new words.

Unicode only adds new characters, you can't delete them.

So we have ghost characters that are added by mistake and don’t make sense.

And that’s why there is a list of deprecated characters that are not recommended to use.

There are characters in Unicode whose meaning has been lost (or they got into Unicode by mistake).

One of them is Angzarr.

The most popular hypothesis is that it was a mistake in porting math symbols from older systems.

The Circassian alphabet (Caucasian nation in Russia) is now based on the Cyrillic alphabet. But there are projects based on old signs—mythoepic alphabets.

We are used to programming languages being based on English.

But the Uiua language is based on mathematical notation.

It’s especially beautiful how formulas are turned into graphics or sound.

On average, in all languages studied, the rate of information transmission is about 39.5 bits per second.

If the density of information per syllable is less—the speed of speech, will be higher.

Egyptian characters are going to be added to Unicode 16.

How many memes will they start making in chat rooms using them, I wonder?
