I disscussed Windows 8 with a friend who used it at the time. I discussed linux when people noticed I use it. And generally, you might ask "how is it?", with favorable response being what you can consider a reccomendation.
Though... A lot of linux users are being very... eh... normal about it, and companies would rather have people reccommending their OS with as much persistency as linux community does for linux...
