I'm planning to write an article covering the @Codeberg platform.
What would you say is the "main" reason to join it? Why do you not use GitHub or GitLab and what's your thoughts about the future-proofness of such independent platforms?
If you know any "hardcore" Codeberg user on Mastodon, please ping me!
It's not made for-profit but rather for users who want to contribute to make the FOSS ecosystem more free than being in a corporate platform.
It respects your privacy, and your rights over the code you upload on the platform, rather than allowing themselves to use your code to train an AI or other stuff.
The community is open and you can contribute to either Codeberg or to any of the stack they run behind, such as Woodpecker or Codeberg Pages.
