People who urge fedi instance admins to enable authorized fetch need to also warn them that it takes up a lot more overall resources than they currently use.
I see so many people get bullied urged into enabling it and then those admins wondering why their instance becomes less responsive and sometimes even crashes.
Authorized fetch is nice to have on but does not work well on low power / low resource machines.
So please when you are urging someone to use it, let them know it’ll increase the minimum requirements of their system depending on how many instances they federate with and how many people are on their instance.
The bigger the instance, the larger pool of resources authorized fetch will consume.

I really really hate that tech companies want you to:
use linkedin; send in a cv that isn't a copy of your linkedin; use an automated system that can't figure a head from ass; expect people to have 10 years of experience in carbon language which came out a few weeks ago; etc.
