Then it will be like a literal typing of `:q!` because in Emacs, performing action requires holding a modifier key (e.g Ctrl, Alt).😉
In Emacs world `C-x C-c` does what you are after (close the document and close the editor window)
P.s: `C-x` means hold Ctrl and press x
