@evanpeterjones @JackTheCat if you can, it’s a good idea to get a cool room set up in your home before summer.

@evanpeterjones There was that comment when everyone banged on about 2023 being the warmest ever. No, 2023 was the coolest you'll ever experience from now on.

@evanpeterjones I feel very sorry for anyone with livestock in the south of England and for the wildlife as I can see droughts are going to get worse .Here we get more rainfall not less though we have increasingly had late spring /early summer droughts ,but as they dont last too long and theres heavy snowfalls in winter and it rains a lot more in summer its not a huge problem except for rivers .But it is causing more wild fires as tourists and wild campers start them with BBQ or camp fires

@evanpeterjones It was 42.6°C outside at peak today. Admittedly it is summer here. But I'm near the coast.

@evanpeterjones not really worried about the heat itself, I'm more worried about the possibility of Tornadoes occurring more often

Canada and other forested areas will be on fire again. 6,623 fires have been recorded nationally in 2023, burning a total of 18,401,197 hectares (ha).

@evanpeterjones this is what I call Dinosaur Weather now. Some areas will get drier but many places are going to be wetter permanently (where I am seems to be one of those) - hot and wet, the whole world becoming more tropical, dramatic, bigger storms, bigger floods, and bigger fires. |
