I'm using @kdenlive for the first time today and it's working pretty great so far! Some things (like cross-wipes, cropping a video and masking some parts) were slightly trickier than in Resolve, but with the help of their documentation and some YouTube videos I got the basics done in about an hour. Not too bad :)

@metin I needed some cropping/masking that I found clumsy in Blender VSE. Resolve is definitely more streamlined + easier to use, but I wanted to use Open software :) (Also, Resolve wanted root access when I tried in install it and I didn't like that)
