bluetooth audio is great because instead of the horrible inconvenience of plugging in an audio cable into the audio hole, I get to just put the earbuds into my ears, open the bluetooth device list on my desktop, not see them there, pull out my phone, check if it's connected, find out that it's not, realize that it probably automatically paired to my laptop that's laying in the other corner of the room, then google "WF-1000XM4 pairing mode", find a page that tells me what I need to press for how long to switch it into pairing mode, and only then I can start using them

@AgathaSorceress this. I only switched to bluetooth headphones because Android developers fucked up the audio jack

@schratze I got wireless earbuds because full size over-ear headphones take up a big percent of the available space in my backpack, and it's usually not worth taking them for single day travel, but god using them is so frustrating. they just Do Things when they decide to and I just hate how unpredictable and magic they are

@AgathaSorceress hmm you have a po- leans back in the chair, ripping the headphone cable out of the socket

(seriously though using multiple devices with wireless headphones is hell, to the point where I just avoid using wireless headphones with more than one device ever)

"Oh, my headset is automatically pairing with my smartphone. Let me put down my laptop really quick, go over there, deactivate bluetooth, come back, try pairing on the laptop..."

@AgathaSorceress Bluetooth audio earbuds have one feature that sold me om them....

I don't destroy the cable while eeping in them.
Also useful for listening while my phone charges on the other end of the room.... (No speakers me no like)

But other than these two cases... I'd like to be able to plug THE AUDIO CABLE into the AUDIO port and have it just work... With whatever the two unholy devices have been connected
