@ccohanlon I feel terrible to say it, but the police are going to be little help. They never take adult disappearances seriously until very, very long after, and even less so if the person is reportedly distraught. They will not return most of your calls, and when they do it will be merely to placate you. You need private help.

@EALS_Director I recognise this — even if your description brought it home to us, very starkly — but my wife and I are elderly and live a very marginal existence, mainly on a boat but currently ashore in Morocco. We barely have the finances to live let alone hire private investigators. My American wife is unable to travel far by air and neither of us have US health insurance. But we are examining alternative resources.

@ccohanlon I did not mean to add to your distress. But I was law enforcement. I know how this sort of issue is handled. Waiting on PD will only cause you more grief. If I had resources in that area, I would connect you myself.
