Games are of course a bit different, but besides enthusiasts how many movies people own anymore?
Something should be done about consumer rights when you are paying a full price for a game to keep. But he was explicitly talking only about subscription services where there is no doubt you are only renting the catalogue.

@sezduck i use their ubisoft connect+ service for while now, for the months where they have a new release, which allows me to play and finish the game for a fraction of the sales price. i thank players for shunning connect+, which keeps it cheap and affordable for people like me :)
