@stefano Very exciting. But to grow even better:

1. seriously dumb down the registration process

2. reallocate and/or reign in the porn so we can all comfortably invite colleagues, friends and family, and

3. don't dumb down the interface with persistent nag announcements telling us the obvious like we're on the home screen.

It's the signup requires assstance for newbies, who are likely transfers who know what to do once they finally get in. Put total Fediverse users number on main page. JMHO

I'm guessing the real number of "registered accounts on active servers" is maybe a million or two more, just based on the numbers I've seen in the past.

But there plenty of hate speech here. Even as much of it is unnoticed by nice white people.
We should recognize reality and deal with it rather than pretending it's all rainbows and unicorns...

@stefano Got to say, I'm looking forward to when Threads gets ActivityPub integration. I was very sceptical at first but I think it's going to be a fantastic gateway to get more people aware of the Fediverse and away from the corporate web. I'm willingly naive on this, but I choose to be hopeful.
