 Extremist legislators in Tennessee and Oklahoma -- with more right-wing states on the way -- are looking to ban women from traveling out of state for abortions. Compared to other western countries with complex social systems that more or less prevent you from not having to fear falling ill or losing your job and therefore becoming homeless etc., US citizens are probably the least "free" people of any western country (as in free of existential fear). Hell, the freaking incarceration statistics basically says it all. US politics are a god damn farce.  @GhostOnTheHalfShell Just because it's in the Constitution doesn't mean extremists won't try to ban it. Extremists try to ban freedom, originalists try to rationalize it, billionaires pay their rent.  @dangillmor @dangillmor shouldn’t the “Privelages and Immunities Clause” of the Constitution allowing freedom of travel? Supported by Saenz v Roe with the first of three protected aspects being the right to enter one state and leave another (as an inherent right supported from Articles of the Constitution). I am not an attorney, but the desperation of these states to turn women into chattel is repulsive and I’m hopeful that we can get rid of the limitations once and for all. @dangillmor the Democratic party had done nothing to stop any of this and is offering no plans to stop any of this  @dangillmor they going to send slave catchers, er abortion catchers to the north to kidnap doctors and mothers?
