@georgetakei Dear Robin, We miss you and love you, you brought laughter and joy to the masses, you struggled with how the world works and you expressed that through your work, I wish you peace and rest, if the rest of the world cares a fraction of what you did, we will flourish. Peace and โพ๏ธโค๏ธ. @georgetakei we used to see him all the time at the big playground in Golden Gate Park and he always seemed sad. Now we know that he was. But since he was famous I never wanted to hassle him. I think maybe I should have said hello or thank you or something. @dangrsmind @georgetakei famous people who become icons are incredibly lonely. Prince, Jerry Garcia, so many artists who just wanted to make their art, not be idolized & screamed at. @GretaGrizz @georgetakei he also had Lewy Body Dementia. It wasn't just about him being famous and no one ever screamed at him or did anything when I was there. @georgetakei @georgetakei What's amazing is he isn't making fun *of* the statue. He's offering help to someone in need. Of toilet paper. @georgetakei have been watching "Mork and Mindy" with two of the kids (12 and 14) and they're really quite enthralled... and so am I. It's really charming but also thought-provoking and full of mad ideas. Currently, when we drop or bump into something we say "shazbot" and that's what I thought when I saw the photos of RW with the statue. @georgetakei Would you kindly put alt text descriptions on the images you post. It would improve the value of the content by reaching people who use screen readers. @georgetakei Man oh man. I feel bad for Robin, He made EVERYONE laugh, while needing the most help himself, Peter Pan, the Genie, Chris Nielsen, Mrs Doubtfire, Garp, Patch Adams, Alan Parrish Comedian, Actor, Champion of the human spirit. One of a kind, one of the greats. @georgetakei when Robin Williams passed I was talking to a much younger co-worker about it and they just stared at me and asked "whoโs she?" |
@georgetakei
