one of the custom IBM gate array chips is broken, so I didn't feel too bad about removing every single last chip (original Twitter thread about the repair https://twitter.com/TubeTimeUS/status/1400990452233342976) so it's not something you can really clone unless you have the IBM custom chips, but here's the schematic and board layout: https://github.com/schlae/EGACard Creative Commons license as usual. @root42 the OA reference manual describes them pretty well. you probably could but they're a bit too big for a cpld @root42 doubt it is fast enough. these chips are running at video rates. @tubetime true. But you can run it up to 400MHz. Question is if it can react fast enough to register changes in the emulated chip… |
