Found this serotonin factory on Xmas day night, in the middle of the rural road that leads to my neighborhood. Someone dumped them. 😭 They were cold, scared, hungry, dehydrated, half this size, and one was feverish. We ruined a barn owls dinner plans, seeing it fly away silently in the night, once we stopped and got out of the truck to pick them up. Another few minutes and these poor little monsters were done for. They have really interesting markings, we are calling the pattern and coloring, "tortie tabby."
