'v' vs 'na' usage in slavic languages is pretty interesting and there's one particular image of it I often see online: as if the preposition used for the state of Ukraine by russian speakers determines its autonomy in the view of speaker. It does appear to somewhat align with historical influences and empires of before tho, but not always.
