@tante democracy needs decentrality. decentrality enables democracy. no need to put them against each other. the problems arise if you think you can have one without the other like with bitcoin or with centralist nation states.

Two corporations/parties fighting over the countries management contract, with reps serving the corp/party and it's donors/lobbyists/shadow management, is centralized. One is democratic the other is corporatist/authoritarian in a democratic costume. In one the citizen is a person.
