@J12t there was a german politician the other day stoking anti-Palestinian fears by stating that "pro-Palestinians would use NYE to attack people and launch fireworks aiming to harm", which is obviously bullshit.

Anyone who knows Berlin on NYE knows exactly how absolutely wild and dangerous Germans get with fireworks.

@thisismissem It's of course hard to know truth from fiction and bias of the authorities ... but on balance, I would not discount this.

@J12t nah, literally everyone is drunk and firing fireworks everywhere. Police end up trying to get involved and it's just a mess.

Like, I personally find somewhere to hide (fireworks scare me)
