@darth I missed out on the Elite series. Though the first one would have been a bit too before my time anyway. I probably would have loved Frontiers. I don't play much these days, but I still very much like Elite Dangerous in general. (I have more than 1000 hours in it, lol.)

Justin Skists

@darth Oh yes. I remember playing it constantly on the speccy with the cheat mode that gave you zillions of credits.

SkySorcerer

@darth I struggled with my first year of high school because of that game. My mom had to take the keyboard away. XD

Loved Frontier and First Encounters as well. «Dangerous» tries to do way too much, I've played 45 minutes, tops.

Ardmass

@darth I never heard of it but this looks cool

Darth ŠČ! :t_blink:

@Ardmass check Amiga version gameplay. It was quite good for something made in 1984 for a 2MHz cpu... It was quite deep too.

@darth a school friend and I used to play it on his BBC. We were so young, we'd build a space ship cockpit out of cushions with the monitor being a very small window :)

@darth I wasn't born when it released but I did end up playing it at some time in the 90s and a number of games inspired by its legacy.

@darth Played it on the Spectrum 48K and saving on the tape deck was so slow I just left it running until we had minute power outage one day and I lost days of progress. I screamed so much! And learned about the value of saving often.
