A match made in hell.
(For my international followers: Axel Springer is Germany's Fox News.)

@tante Just as with crypto or blockchain: Look at who is adopting and promoting it and you get a good picture of what ideas lie at the core of a technology 🤝 Yep, and these kinda deals will just nudge the bias of the lies more towards a certain direction. Pretty scary IMHO. @malteengeler @tante Just becaue capitalism exploits something doesn't make it a bad technology. @tante@tldr.nettime.org Schreibt dann die KI die Artikel der Redakteure damit die KI was zum lernen hat. @tante @isAutonomous @tante kommt immer drauf an in welche Richtung das Geld fließt @tante Makes sense for two of the biggest companies that specialize in spreading pleasant lies to team up like that. The age of misinformation is in full swing. @tante WtF So Axel Springer is going to lay of it's - erm - writers (I don't call them Journalists), because AI can do their job cheaper. That's good news. Theese are the people, who wrote articles about "lazy" unemployed, etc. Well, let them taste their own poison now. It's also a statment about the quality of the Bild-contets up to now, if AI can take that over. Well, then that's the premature death of their language model before it was even really born. OpenAI should feed it with well written content insted. We seem to have different opinions on "well written". I think I get, what you mean: they fulfill their purpose pretty well. But that's not the only requirement I have, to call something "well written". @tante heartwarming, the old school lying machine and the new school join in intergenerational harmony @tante since musk went totally nuts, Döpfner pivots to the next tech poster boy but what is the plan?. Giving away Bildzeitung on LLM? It is only about this tweet and the attention. The springer employees are super excited I bet 🫠 Nice ... but i feel actually BINg is better. More data sources are not as important as recognizing connections @tante so not only will ChatGPT be used in homework, essays, content mills and scientific papers – it will quote neonazis. Yay. If ChatGPT provided attribution and links, that would be good. The problem is that it will be at the discretion of the bot. It may depend upon your location. YMMV. @wolf480pl @tante the former not openly, just pushing their points. The latter is their business model for decades especially with point one. @tante oh so now they do not only produce bullshit and fake news, they also pump that into a fake news generator. |
@tante
Can't wait for the TruthGPT/Breitbart partnership...
