I feel like there's a whole range of cloud connotations of at least dubious valence that has just been ignored? suppressed? when talking about this industry's favored metaphor for obscured and haphazrdly organized approaches to handling data
even if we pass by "dark clouds" and "black cloud" as closer to colorism than we wish to go, there's still "cloudy" and "storm cloud" too
