@Colman There's online culture, for want of a better phrase, in the social interaction when staff find it natural to tell customers in the shop to go away and use the website.
I asked a local-looking man for directions on a street when I knew I was close to the right building, but confused by tricky alleys and back entrances. He said 'look it up on your phone' & walked off. I think that's online culture. He assumed I had a smartphone with data and, presumably, that I was rude to have asked.
