Gregory's Server@SwiftOnSecurity I nearly got killed repairing a solenoid on an ancient 1950s washing machine, back in the 90s. I had crawled inside it and was soldering and my fiance, bless her cotton socks decided to plug it in and see if worked yet. I got very very zapped and ended up waking up from being knocked clean unconscious to my screaming gf freaking out that "OH GOD I KILLED MY BOYFRIEND". It was hard to be angry at her, she meant well, but I probably needed to have a safety talk with her.

I was working on a dryer that had a bad thermostat. Pretty easy fix according to my uncle, who was on the phone with me troubleshooting it. Unscrewed that little sucker, was tightening it and screwdriver slipped hit the drum and some other bit and 220 volts+ put a charge to my life. Uncle apologized and forgot to tell me what not to touch as a big capacitor needed to be drained to be safe.
