Almost the Plot to Superman 4 where a young child asks superman why doesn't he get rid of all the nuclear weapons on earth. He does, but it didn't end well - the film sucked.

You barbarians were killing each other before you invented guns and will long after they're all gone. And if you Americans can't fix your broken system don't look for me to get in the middle of that fight.
