Let me just add a wholehearted YES to this. It’s not either/or, it’s about adding modern scientific results to traditional knowledge. And, also important: Once traditional knowledge proves outdated or superstitious (or fascist), update one’s behaviour. @sand @RickiTarr i agree. One of my sisters is all about natural cures for things, and i'll try them, but to always turn down a scientifically-backed thing in favor of a tincture or whatever is a dangerous path to adhere to -- i think it leads to conspiracy-based thinking. ("All science is BAD!") |
@RickiTarr YES! I totally see the benefits of ginger and turmeric. But I still get my flu shot and wear a mask and all the other things. You can have both and not be a psychopath.
