incidentally, this is why i prefer physical media or, at the very least, DRM-free media which i can preserve for my use forever @ariadne I dunno if CBS wanted to goose their DVD sales, but that's exactly what happened when they immediately pulled ST: Prodigy from whatever their streaming service is called this week. I canceled the service entirely and now I'll just buy (and rip) DVD/BR until I get around to building out a plex server with newsgroups again. Literally the only reason I'm subscribed is Star Trek.
