Here we are, well into the 21st century, and it’s all about superior races again in certain quarters.

• Putin reiterated a 2-part conception of Russian identity…a “Russian nation”… Russians, Ukrainians, Belarusians…and a wider ‘Russian world” including other…ethnicities in…the former territory of the Soviet Union and Russian Empire.
• Head of the Kremlin-controlled Russian Orthodox Church…highlighting the perceived superiority of ethnic Russians to other ethnicities.

@J12t It's truly a shame because the former Soviet Union is actually very diverse! For instance, Stalin moved a whole bunch of Koreans from Siberia to Kazakhstan where they are now a huge part of the culture. But instead of even giving lip service to that diversity, the powers that be seem to be increasingly disgusted by it :(
