I'd like to ask everyone even mildly excited about the new #Apple hardware to look at some graphs of environmental indicators and ask if more unrepairable novelty hardware is something we should be using finite natural resources on right now.

@csepp That's why I #WontBuy any #Apple hardware, since their #AntiRepair design is an #EnvoirmentalCrime on it's own.

the only winning move is work towards a #repairable alternative:

@csepp just by stats and facts #Apple devices are just unrepairable shit and they got worse...

@csepp The sheer fact that the #MacPro doesn't come with user-replaceable #RAM nor #SSD's is a clear #WontBuy & #disrecommendation, since even #Microsoft got pushed into making the #SSD - which will INEVITABLY FAIL OVER USEAGE LIKE THE BATTERY - replaceable on the #SurfaceLaptop3:

@csepp maybe better focus on chinese manufacturing crappy android devices which cover 90% of the market and environmental effect. Apple almost manufacturers on demand and hardware life is way longer

@pancake They are not the ones lobbying against right to repair laws though. But certainly fuck them too.

@pancake I guess the more general point is: don't buy any new shiny crap. It just so happens that Apple is currently very visibly pushing a whole new slew of shiny crap, hence the post.
