So the net result of the #OpenAI drama appears to be that Microsoft gobbles up the valuable parts (read: the top people) of OpenAI.

Didn’t the board see this very scenario coming? I’m sure it was really hard to get Microsoft to invest >$10b instead of acquiring them outright, so of course they jump at the first opportunity to do that by other means.

Hard to believe the remaining Microsoft billions are still to flow to OpenAI after this.
