@ioletsgo I still wish there was a distro committed to replicating Windows XP. And yes I know there is ReactOS and plenty of themes but they aren't serious about it. I'm talking about an actually maintained distro that you can unironically use on hardware of the time as well as modern machines.
@fell windows XP was in the latter half of 32 bit hardware and primary support for those devices.
I'm sure there are distros that still support x86 hardware, but I think you'd be better off using a modern Linux distro with LXDE on what was at the time a high end WinXP desktop.
