@gamingonlinux I ported abuse to SDL2 some time ago. You can find it at https://github.com/jjsimpso/abuse-sdl2 but I don't currently have prepackaged binaries for it. My version also adds gamepad support and I fixed choppy audio that I experienced on my system.

I haven't played the game extensively, so I'd be curious how well my version performs compared to the others. There is also at least one other SDL2 port out there besides mine.
