I won't add notif support unless someone really wants me to because: that's a pain

halcy:icosahedron:

p.s. i have just about no monitoring for this except a few hundred lines of ephemeral http request log, and twilio monitoring

if something breaks, you'll have to tell me

Cheerios de Bergerac

@halcy now I can say "Okay Google, text Masto "Tooting with my voice send toot" and it'll work"

halcy:icosahedron:

@sexybenfranklin i was considering adding voice support too. maybe I will!

Hate typing? Well have I got news for you: Hello MoToot now has voice support! Many useful functions available!

halcy:icosahedron:

github.com/halcy/hellomotoot I have also published the source code, though mostly for "it's a neat, if stupid, example" reasons, I do not, expect anyone to want to run this

Deadly Headshot

@halcy You could probably self-host a very simple variant using a FONA if you didn't want to use Twilio...

Ed Yother

@halcy Neat. Actually that's probably quite useful to certain people. That's what made Twitter a super low bandwidth way of broadcasting to the world and was able to give voice to journalist and political movements in parts of the world with little access to the internet.

@edyother well, it is there until the twilio trial credits run out (and thereafter if someone reminds me to top up, unless it gets super expensive)

halcy:icosahedron:

@edyother (also, source code now available in case anyone wants to make a less, jokey version. though obv this one _is_ perfectly functional)
