@heatherhorns_lite i will tell you that the only “shrink” that happened at my job today was accidentally dropping a case of pickled jalapeños while trying to get the stupid cling wrap off @sierrashark oh man i used to hate fighting off the customers trying to drink juice off the floor living in the US is constantly being pitted in the thunderdome against some rando @heatherhorns_lite very reminded of how "Stockholm Syndrome" was basically made up by some police psychologist mad that hostages actually had more empathy for their hostage takers than him @Rana @chimerror @heatherhorns_lite nah, he was a complete dick and so was the police; the hostages noticed. @chimerror@beach.city @heatherhorns_lite@plush.city note: the police gassed them through an opening in the ceilling @chimerror @heatherhorns_lite well, and that the government response for the hostages plea of rescue was essentially "Die for your country". @heatherhorns_lite This is unsurprising. Most people driven to theft aren't inherently bad people. They just haven't had their needs met. They, understandably, don't care about a corporation losing a small amount of profit, as that's still less than all the bullshit tax breaks they get. @heatherhorns_lite A friend of wife's friend was carjacked recently. Perpetrator spent the whole time apologizing. @heatherhorns_lite@plush.city that's because the robber likely works a similar job and is only doing this because their own managers and environment pushed them to the edge to rob a place, likely falsely prosecuted or fired. @heatherhorns_lite "Oh there ain't no rest for the wicked. Money don't grow on trees~ 🎵 " |
