@mhoye having used PDP-11s, though in the 80s, this was all utter bullshit then, too, and inexcusable. Some operating systems and languages had actual good docs and help, but Unix and C were not amongst them. And it was stupid.

(I remember the first time I tried to use C, on a PDP-11 even, and gave up because the docs were such crap)
