🚨 POLL 🚨

Have you tried Soapbox before?

Soapbox is an alternative front-end for Mastodon, Pleroma, and I assume also AKkoma.

@reiver I know some have a problem with Soapbox because of the creator, in a similar fashion to the Lemmy developers, and they cannot separate the opinions and their behavior from the software which one can use for oneself on a separate instance. I guess this is similar to that other big place and that other guy but i guess the main difference is decentralization and one can use/alter the software and in the other case one is locked in to whatever the person deems at a whim

@reiver Interesting question, very curious what people's answers are, especially regarding how the identity of the creator relates to open source software

@laurenshof @reiver same can be said about Lemmy 🤷‍♂️

I run my instance with it as well as the Rebased backend. Solid stuff. Great resource utilization and very simple setup.

@reiver could I answer "yes" even if I never ran a server that used it, but instead, interacted with a server that did?

I might be biased, but for me this is the best MastoAPI-compatible web client. One of the reasons is that it's the only client that supports some Pleroma-specific (like birthday reminders and explicit mentioning) and Rebased-specific (like Mobilizon-compatible events) features.
