Debian is the most user friendly distro if you want TO LEARN what Linux is. Debian has a very good wiki to learn from, also it have been translated to many languages.

Something does not on Mint? Well... Mint does not have wiki, only USB installation instructions and outdated forum posts.

Also Debian 12 is more simpler to install since you no longer need a separate ISO for proprietary WiFi firmware.
