@J12t You could ask the same of almost everything Netanyahu has done recently. It's like a tragic play that both power players (Likud/etc and Hamas) can't change the script of, because they don't want to, because without the script, they are empty shells and have no purpose. Kinda hopeless that citizens of both sides keep on voting for the same thing over and over and... expecting a different result? I have a hard time believing they are nihilist and *want* this outcome. @gwachob my understanding is that Netanyahu just wants to stay out of jail, which means he needs to be pm, which means he had to take whatever allies he can find, which then come with political demands. |
What can Hamas reasonably expect to gain here? Shock? Yes. Hostages? Yes. But then what? Iām not seeing the picture they are apparently seeing, unless I include Iran.
