I might have been reading @pluralistic's new book, The Internet Con, about almost exactly these problems... 😅 Fucking Robert Bork and his ahistorical interpretation of antitrust law. It's a big reason for why we can't have nice things.

@gamingonlinux Honestly, money does talk but GabeN is only going to hear jokes. Microsoft is just insanely overreaching by saying they want to buy Valve. If they did, this could have detrimental effects on Steam/Steam Deck as it's hard to say what Microsoft would do to them.

@gamingonlinux The only way Valve would accept this is if GabeN gets to be the new owner(and I don't mean just CEO, but sole/majority shareholder of the company). Otherwise, fat chance of it ever happening.
