@drclareharris I believe infections in the open air are quite unlikely. There was study a while ago, and I can easily believe that droplets dissipate real quick in many cubic meters of air. What gets me is people in packed rooms, like waiting in line, packed like sardines, coughing onto each other.

@J12t @drclareharris If the person is exhaling high loads of the virus and someone is drafting behind him - I would think it wouldn’t be hard to pass it on to a few people. That and breaks near other people. Plenty of people are getting covid outside in close quarters. It’s Russian roulette - just depends on your luck and the amount of virus the person is shedding.

The variants circulating now have come from omicron and are even more transmissible.

I’d still rather be safe than sorry.
