@dirk Science - as an abstract - doesn't give a shit. The people who pay scientists to do their thing *do*, though. Or the people who pay *them* do. That's a problem. It's *fixable*, but we have to play both sides against the middle. We have to sit on the bigots with the bucks, AND we have to inspire those who have been discouraged from dreaming to show us all what they're made of.
This is the latter.
