What game has you click play, blink a few times and it’s suddenly 1AM?

@gamingonlinux Timberborn, for sure. Train Sim World does it to me too, but not nearly to the same level as Timberborn. @gamingonlinux Dead Cells recently did this to me. Very much a "just one more turn" experience. Currently replaying Kentucky Route Zero, though, and that's having the opposite effect on me. It feels really substantial, you know, such that I'd rather spend just an hour or two in its world, then come away to let it percolate before going back in. @gamingonlinux Street Fighter 6 And Planescape Torment, which is why i'm a bit worried about launcher either one of them right now as it's 10:30pm >_> @gamingonlinux Disco Elysium was like that for me, started playing in the evening, blinked a few times and BAM it's 5am @gamingonlinux before we had kids the wife and I would sit next to each other and build cities in cities skylines and lose entire days @gamingonlinux Valheim, Dwarf Fortress, all the good RPGs (Witcher3, Assassins Creed Valhalla, The Elder Scrolls Games), Strategy (Stellaris, Civ,...) and also some Shooters have this capability to let you forget time. (Some of the games are a bit reluctant to run on linux, I have to admit...) @gamingonlinux HoloCure. Also Final Fantasy 14 @gamingonlinux just beat bg3, and it can def do that. Just when I thought I was at the end, there was just a little more, and a little more XD Other than that, it's modded Minecraft and modded Skyrim @gamingonlinux Prison Architect, Blazblue Centralfiction, any of the Yakuza games. @gamingonlinux Hollow Knight, the very first time. World to the West ‘bout did me that way too recently. @gamingonlinux Too many to list, but the big ones for me are Oxygen Not Included and Frostpunk. @gamingonlinux Stellaris. I'm never ready for the obvious acceleration of time that's happening around me when I play. @gamingonlinux Definitely Skyrim (and that's why I never tried to repair the crashing bug) even after all those years. And then there is Minecraft since 2012 keeping me awake from time to time. @gamingonlinux Minecraft. We've been playing on the same server since 2011. Somehow it doesn't get old. |
