@jsbarretto fully agree. What makes it so horrible to me is that it is portrayed as a networking platform where it's easy to meet new people, while in reality it's the exact opposite. People generally only connect with people they already know or have met irl.

Plus a lot of bogus self-promotion.

Why do you think it's horrible?

@maartenpelgrim Mostly the same. In the best case, it's a void into which people desperately scream in the hopes that a recruiter will holler back. In the worst, it's a soap box arena in which the worst people you've ever known from school and past jobs fight to the death to acquire the title of 'Biggest Egomaniac'.
