I made y'all (actually my LIS 601 class) a rant about AI/ML/LLMs. Have fun.

@dsalo This is great!
@dsalo Thanks for this! Regarding Wikipedia, although the WMF is experimenting with a ChatGPT plugin prompted by Wikipedia articles (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Wikipedia_Signpost/2023-07-17/Recent_research#Wikimedia_Foundation_launches_experimental_ChatGPT_plugin_for_Wikipedia) any Wikipedian I've heard from seems adamant about keeping LLM-generated content out of the actual articles. (I don't know if this category is kept up to date, but it has no encyclopedia articles: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Articles_generated_by_AI ) Of course, some worry that too much sludge could still sneak in like other spam (see e.g. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Wikipedia_Signpost/2023-08-01/In_the_media )
