Imagine getting the task, "Unenshittify default browser functionality, but only in regions where we're required to", and just... doing it. @sqrt2@chaos.social why would they not open links with the default browser, that's what the default browser is for, isn't it? I am confused @sqrt2 I haven’t used windows in a decade, but I grew up using it and used to have a lot of respect for some of the craftsmanship that went into it; it’s sad to see how much it’s turned against its users @sqrt2@chaos.social Assuming they open in edge everywhere else regaurdless of its its the default? @sqrt2@chaos.social @sqrt2 presumably the brexit dividend™️ means that the UK still gets to be subject to anticompetitive business practices (woo!) @sqrt2 the only winning move is not to use #Microsoft Products like #Windows! #AllGAFAMsAreBad #AllGAFAMsAreEvil #PRISM #ITsec #InfoSec #OpSec #ComSec @thomasgriffiths @sqrt2 that very much depends, but in General, I'd recommend @ubuntu / #UbuntuLTS on #Desktop and #Server and #OpenXchange or @nextcloud for any #Groupware as well as @libreoffice and/or @CollaboraOffice for Editing. @thomasgriffiths @sqrt2 OFC your question is appreciated and valid as just being a neighsayer who's refusing to provide any alternatives is Stallman-istic trashtalk and thus inherently neither useful not beneficial to anyone... @kkarhan @sqrt2 @ubuntu @nextcloud @libreoffice @CollaboraOffice thanks - genuinely appreciated 🙏 |
@sqrt2 Incredible.
"We will be at least as shitty as laws allow."
And then they wonder why there's so many laws and regulations.
