 @gamingonlinux Annoyed me that Outlook opens links in Edge by default even when Firefox is set as the default browser... The company are utter twats. @gamingonlinux Yep. Just got a new laptop with Windows 11, and it was trying pretty hard to make their browser their default. Nope. @gamingonlinux And the focus on the EEA is just another way the British are being screwed over by Brexit. @gamingonlinux everyone outside the eea gotta figure out a way to make windows think they're in it @gamingonlinux please tell me someone has found the registry switch to "fix" this outside the EEC as well @gamingonlinux probably the minority but I like edge. This behaviour is absurd though. If they tried to make people see it's actually a good browser rather than force people into using it, idk, feel that would be a better course of action  @gamingonlinux Doesn't matter to me. I'm not using Microshaft Winblows 11 or later any way. Never have (for longer than an hour a week), never will (apart from work).   @gamingonlinux I will never not be mad that they moved Edge to Chromium. I understand it was probably very costly to have their own rendering team and all having their own engine and all But Edge before turning into basically a skin of Chrome was actually good. Like, I hated IE for years and years (and been using Firefox since 2004) so I can confidently say "If at the least the stuff you pushed wasn't some fucking degooglified shite, maybe I'd be more forgiving" |
@gamingonlinux they see how Google controls the field and want same piece of action with their Bing business, which...checks notes...stills brings them billions of loss.
Almost like when flow of Windows and Office licenses dries out, Microsoft is for hard crash.
