@ncommander @ellenor2000 @dfbugs the closest we've come is the time we attempted to build a vertical shaft through the aquifer

the good news is our windfarm and water pumps worked great

the bad news is we flooded the map so hard it locked up our laptop and we had to hard power off

@irenes @ncommander @ellenor2000 @dfbugs df, one of the few games where a cgroup might actually make it more playable

Water in DF is more like a thick syrup, and thus it is entirely possible to drown an army standing up (if you can handle 2 FPS). This was from 0.31, but it stuck out in the mind

@irenes @ellenor2000 @dfbugs I dunno if its been patched, but it used to be if you smoothed and then engraved on the map edge, you could use it as a drain as the water would fall into the void.

It's a bit cheesy but it does work for reclaiming very flood fortresses.

@irenes @ellenor2000 @dfbugs if you still have that fort, I won't mind taking a shot at drying it out. Playing 2 FPS forts is something I've done too much off >.>;
