In some speedruns there's this convention where for loading times the timer is halted; I'd love if similar software could be developed so for unskippable cut scenes a timer could be started and the makers of the worst offenders could be shamed as failed wannabe film makers. @gamingonlinux +9001% Just like #AdblockerBlocker, #PayToLeave / #PayToPause and all the #PayToLoose games in general! @gamingonlinux Exposition - who needs backstory? Whats the next MacGuffin I need to retrieve dammit? @gamingonlinux Then there's the opposite problem: cutscenes that skip with no confirmation. You press esc once, and now you have no idea what's happening 😅 @gamingonlinux bonus points if the game starts with a cut scene and you're banging the keyboard to change the audio volume before you become permanently deaf @gamingonlinux Cutscenes and boss battles forced my not play JRPGs during my work lunch breaks. @gamingonlinux Even worse when a game saves BEFORE such an unskippable cutscene instead of f*cking AFTER! @gamingonlinux I know right?! Especially when you can’t find a glitch or other way around it. It takes off precious seconds from speedruns! :OpDaMyZrMad: @gamingonlinux hello how are you doing I am holly by name I am new to this social platform if you don’t mind I will like to get to know you if you don’t mind get back to me soon @gamingonlinux Only if you've seen it a couple times and replaying, then you should be able too. Heh. |
@gamingonlinux
Agreed!!
*and also:* unpausable cutscenes, too.
